1. Walked from my landlubbing home to Übersee
back in 1984
Walked from Übersee to my homebound station
back the same day once more
Even it was that hole around old Chiemsee
blue kingfisher birds flittered around the Kampenwand souvenir store.
2. And there she was sitting in the railway station beer garden
resting her Meindls on her rucksack and a chair
When she was sitting in the beer garden of the railway station
restauration licensed full-time open-air
Her looks were not friendly but her eyes closed anyway
and as the trains passed by the Chiemgau winds played in her hair.
3. She didn’t take the 7:03 to Rosenheim–Munich
nor did she take the 7:50 to Traunstein–Freilassing too soon
She was one who wouldn’t grow to be a machine operator on the oceans
nor ride in the sky fast and wild in a hot-air balloon
She neither belonged to Frauen- nor to Herrenchiemsee
and as she watered her Radlers down her glasses qualified her for a raccoon.
These song lyrics are free for musical composition. Add solos, use melody twists, sound preferably like the Bananafishbones (Bad Tölz) doing Rocky Raccoon, and let me know your setting. The copyright be mine, sayeth the poet.
