Country Mermaid

Update for Verschwinde aus meinem Leben, Baby:

Lo, Loneliness

Chorus: Cowgirl is yearning
Mermaid is burning
Cowgirl is dreaming
Mermaid is screaming.

1. Cowgirl went the stormy sea to look
Mermaid showed her how the country shook
Cowgirl tried a big ship out without her shoes
Mermaid can’t take boots on but she even got the blues.

Chorus: Cowgirl is yearning
Mermaid is burning
Cowgirl is dreaming
Mermaid is screaming.

2. Cowgirl called the winds and gave no damn two cities drowned
Mermaid watched her heart break, as the third one died she frowned
Cowgirl rode the whale and watered the electric bull
Mermaid can’t take step by step to unbreak the rule.

Chorus: Cowgirl is yearning
Mermaid is burning
Cowgirl is dreaming
Mermaid is screaming
(until the horizon was steaming).

Solo.

3. Cowgirl pushed three buttons and the sirens all went on
Mermaid pulled the sailors down their boats now three are gone
Cowgirl shot the sirens out but only hit the boys
Mermaid Mermaid save my soul but bring your toys.

Chorus: Cowgirl is yearning
Mermaid is burning
Cowgirl is dreaming
Mermaid is screaming. (Rep. ad lib., fade out)

Lo, Loneliness
